Product Overview
Uniview’s PKC2640@Z80-IR-P is a camera built for one purpose: to capture license plates. It has four powerful IR LEDs, allowing plate detection up to 164 ft at night. In addition, its 4MP LightHunter sensor allows for crystal-clear video at 30fps. The sensor’s high dynamic range allows it to practically ignore car headlights, ensuring you capture license plates during day and night.
The camera has a built-in LPR (license plate recognition) algorithm, allowing the camera to read and store plate information in plain text. This information can be used to configure whitelists and blacklists or to search for when a specific plate came into the area.
Uniview LPR works best with the following Uniview NVR models:
- NVR502-08B-P8 | NVR502-16B-P16
- NVR504-16B-P16 | NVR504-32B-P16
- NVR508-32E-R | NVR508-64E-R
- NVR516-128
- NVR824-128R | NVR824-256R
These NVRs support plate search, allowing you to perform VCA search by license plate number.
